It was time to go out with the old and in with the new. In an effort to reduce our environmental impact and reduce our electricity usage we replaced our old sodium lights with new T8 fluorescent lights. It was a large project because we had to keep our shop running while not having people work in the dark. These lights have made a massive improvement to the shop visibility and these fixtures should last us many years to come.

With these lights we go from nearly 400watts per fixture to a little over 100W. With the improve coverage we get a more even light over the entire floor area. The other big improvement over the old lights is that these are instantly on. We no longer need to wait for the lights to come up to full brightness. Saving energy and time for what is most important to us. Helping our customers!
